Surely, you've asked yourself this question at least once, since you're here, haven't you? How do I make money with my blog? Let's see if we can do this together in this money-making guide!
There are many people who want to start a blog or people who already have a blog. Most of them don't know how to make money with their own blog.
Before I show you a few methods that I have studied and that have worked, I want to tell you that having a blog is not hard.
How many views do you need to make money with a blog?
Having constant traffic is not that easy, as many people expect.
Of course, there are people making a lot of money - over $10,000 USD a month with a single blog but they came at this point in 2-3 years, not overnight! The amount of money you make with your blog, is directly-proportional to the traffic you get.
Quality traffic is much more important than most people think. You need people with a purchase intent - not any people. So your blog articles must be written with this intent! Is like any other business: you need to know your customers.
A blog takes time (a lot of time - at least 6 months)! It takes passion, someteimes it takes money to make it happen, and it takes consistency and perseverance.
Let's see some numbers - easier to understand!
If your blog has more than 100,000 total pageviews a month (total pageviews, not unique visitors) you should be blogging full-time.
At this point, you should earn more than $3,500/month from your blog.
Obviously, you can monetize your blog in various ways. Here we go! 😃

How do I make money with my blog?
Let's see the most important ways to make money with your own blog.
You should already have at least 30 blog articles before thinking to monteize your blog.
First let's see how to make money with your blog!
1. Blog advertising
Advertising is the first thing you can do on your blog. Once you accumulate enough traffic try to think about this method of making money with your blog.
For this I recommend you to create a page called Advertising to highlight on your blog that anyone can advertise on your blog.
You can advertise:
- directly: when you get in touch with the customer
- indirectly: using platforms that put you in touch with various customers
Ways you can approach to advertise on your blog:
- CPC (Google Adsense, Mediavine, Ezoic, etc)
- Link exchange
- Paid advertorials/articles
- Banners
- Newsletter
- Product recommendations
You must be careful when it comes to "link exchange" to not fall into that `grey area`! Are Link Exchangesa Legitimate SEO Strategy?.
2. Affiliate marketing
You will make money directly proportional to the results and the work done by you. The more products you recommend and the more your visitors buy, the more money you make.
This is very simple: you basically get a commission of every sale! A visitor read your article (you have to show why that product is the best coice) and then the visitor will click the link to Amazon or another affiliate program.
- John Doe is reading your article - a well written review about a vacuum cleaner (let's pretend)
- You convinced him to purchase the product because its a good choice
- John Doe click the link you recommend (is your affiliate link - like Amazon)
- If John Doe purchase the product, you get a comission
Affiliate marketing has grown a lot in recent years and will grow even more because the entire commerce industry is moving online.
3. Services
Anouther source of income for a blogger is freelancing. You already heard about it, for sure.
- Does your blog have a stable niche?
- Are you a force to be reckoned with in your niche?
If the answers to these questions are YES, then you are ready to offer services in your field.
Here are few example of services you can make a good income:
- consulting
- training
- speaking at different events
- freelancing in various projects
- coaching
- ... and so on
You can make money by offering various services with your blog. All you have to do is to start writing. Just start - is all you have to do! Most people don't start, for some reasons.
4. Sell products with your blog
Fery few people are doing it! They are killing it!
Most people don't know about this but at some point, this will be so distroyed that people will start selling courses "How to sell with your blog".
Sounds familiar? Of course it does: how to sell on Amazon - $999 USD for the course!
But was already ruined - I mean, too many people started to sell on Amazon, so the competition became too high, even for the people selling the course (that's why "selling the course" became their primary business, instead of selling products on Amazon).
You make money with your blog by selling and/or promoting:
- books & ebooks
- webinars
- videos
- apps
- digital products
- physical products
All you have to do is to think about your visitors need. You can create different products/services to help them. That's how winning is done!
5. Selling your blog
Many people are growing their blog and then they sell it for good money - they make a lot of money. But if you are attached to your blog, then is not for you!
If you end up with a popular blog (a lot of traffic is implied, of course), you can sell it for a lot of money. Flippa is that kind of marketplace where you can sell you blog.
On average, a blog with 20,000 unique visitors can fetch several thousand dollars, depending the niche.
Anyway, a blog can help you to build a personal brand - so is ok if you don't want to sell it. You can make money by building mutiple blogs (not at the same time, obviously).

What is a quality blog post?
As we already said, you should already have at least 30 blog articles before implementing a way to monteize your blog.
If you want to make money with your blog, you have to be serious, obviously! Of course, if you are passionate, this is like a child-play - no matter how serious you get. Is a state of mind!
Your articles should be at least 1000 words long. This doesn't mean to fill your articles with blah-blah! Google is not stupid and your readers are not retarded - are human beings you write for. These people will give you the money (indirectly, of course)!
I don't think you would like to read blah-blah on the blogs you follow! You wouldn't follow them anymore, isn't it?
And you don't waste your time reading an article filled with blah-blah - this is where Google see the time you spend on a page - called bounce-rate. This bounce-rate is a ranking factor!
If people are exiting your page quickly, Google will mark it as a low-quality page because people are not engaged. So quality is required, to keep your visitors as much as possible on your page - this is a signal that people find your content useful!
Be objective! You have to be very objective in those 1000 words. That's why you have to research before - there is no excuse - information is almost limitless nowadays!
Of course, from time to time is ok to write articles under 1000 words. The idea is to not make it a habit! Not all your articles will be written for monetization purpose (this would be a bad move, actualy).
You have to write various blog articles: how to, guides, best xyz, and so on. You have to do your research (for each article you intend to write) starting with keywords (researching the search volume and competition - the lower competiton, the better). If you can write something more qualitative than your competition, go for it!
Just start writing
First 30 articles should take you 1-2 months. Would be recommended to write a blog article a day, at least 1000 words. Be consistent - this is how winning is done!
Anything below 1000 words, is not considered "in depth" (not "qualitative", some people might say).
Your first articles are not gonna be the best articles in town but this is absolutely human! Avoid at any cost to be a perfectionist - this is a state of mind which will sabotage you!
I don’t need to know everything; I just need to know where to find it, when I need it.

You have 14 days trial to test it and compare with other blogging platforms (like wordpress)!
Why should you use Slypress?
- Speed: the fastest blogging platform;
- SEO internal tools similar to Ahrefs (you don't have to pay over $99/month): internal linking suggestions/oportunities (this is huge), internal & external linking monitoring, affiliate linking monitoring;
